Information You Submit
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, telephone number, or address, goes to the outside provider that returns the results. We do not save a separate copy of those searches on our servers. A direct message contains whatever the sender chooses to provide, and we use it to answer that communication.
Automatic Technical Data
Our hosting systems create ordinary logs that can include an IP address, browser type, visit time, and pages requested. Aggregated logs help us maintain the service and see which material is useful. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How We Use Data
We process this limited information to operate and secure the site, diagnose errors, count traffic, and improve content. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual visitor profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to Union County and North Carolina offices, courts, libraries, and outside search services. Information submitted after following a link is controlled by that destination's privacy terms. The same is true for sponsored results, which come from a third-party provider.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. We retain server logs only as long as needed for the purposes above. Because we do not run accounts, there is no password or profile of yours to breach on this site.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights to access, correct, or delete website data depend on the law that applies to the visitor. North Carolina does not have a comprehensive consumer deletion statute identified in the governing research, though sector-specific protections still apply. Because we retain little, a request usually means checking contact messages and available server logs. Use the Contact page. Union County and North Carolina public records remain under their custodians' control. G.S. 132-1.10 provides a separate no-fee process for removing listed sensitive identifiers from certain register or clerk website images.
